Wow! Saw the new tv ads today for the Apple iPhone, and its a seriously funky piece of kit. Mind you, an expensive funky piece of kit, and one that will need a meaty contract - it’ll eat data allowance alive. Still, be interesting to see how it pans out - I’m sure it will be a success.
More exciting (for me) is that Youtube will be available on the Apple TV very soon - so I’m looking forward to that free update. I hope this is a sign of things to come, and that Apple bring out even more funky features!
Finally, Claire has been updating her website - she is a fantastic web designer based in Swindon and an amazing illustrator based in Wiltshire. Please check out her work!

Oh and it’s my birthday next week…

Catchup ketchup

May 2nd, 2007

I seem to be pretty rubbish at blogging these days - I seem to get busy and half the time I’m not really convinced that anyone actually cares to stop by and read. Obviously you did, so thank you anonymous visitor. Um so a quick status update is in order I guess. I’m living back in Swindon again - renting a place, and generally am happy than I was living back in Newbury. It was ok, but a bit dead and it sucked living so close to work. I’m still working at Dunwoody and though there are peaks and troughs, I’ve been pretty busy the last week or two. Just finished knocking up a site for the Newbury Comedy Festival which is pretty cool amongst many other jobs here and there.
I bought myself a rather spiffing Sony Bravia TV last month - 32inch of flat screen joy and much better than a 21inch 4:3 CRT TV. Of course to complement it I had no choice but to go and buy an Apple TV, which I have to say is pretty fab, and I’m sure will get even better as it gets updated from Cupertino over t’internet.
Anyway, thats probably about it for now. Pop by again though - I’m thinking that I might be overhauling my website again soon, as it may well need to change, depending on what happens in the near future.

Ciao for now!

Few quick things

April 24th, 2007

Just a few quick things while I’m here!
Sunday evening I went to see Paolo Nutini at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon. Yep “that” gig - the one where he seemed somewhat in lala land and generally sounded a bit odd. It was ok, but he did sound a bit like a cross between George Formby and an old scottish man with no teeth. Hmm. Wasn’t quite what I expected, but then to give him his due there were some technical difficulties at the start, and it wasn’t exactly an expensive gig. One of the highlights, however, was the amazing Newton Faulkner, who appeared as the warm up act. He was absolutely superb and I would highly recommend seeing him - he was good fun, was a brilliant guitarist and was able to play a wide range of tracks. He’s on iTunes, and has been on Radio 1’s Live Lounge in the last week. Scott Mills has also been playing his stuff.

Secondly, my mate Baj has been freelancing for a while now, and he’s top notch. If you are interested in hiring a PHP contractor then you really ought to give him a shout.

Anyways, thats me for now - vids and pics from Sunday’s gig to appear soon!

I’ve just been doing a bit of updating on the site, and have just added a new page about my Web Development skills.
I’ve included a brief overview of my web development skills, and also the kind of things that I’ve done, such as dynamic sites including Content Management and HTML emails.
