Hi and welcome to markfoyle.com - Mark’s humble abode on the interweb!

My name is Mark Foyle, and I am currently living and working in Newbury, having originated from Swindon. Prior to living in Newbury, I lived in Reading for nearly 6 years.

I currently work as a Web Developer for Dunwoody (formerly Mirashade) a creative agency based at the Litten in the middle of Newbury. Until recently we were based in a barn out on the edge of town.

Prior to working in a barn, I was studying frantically hard at the University of Reading, where I graduated with a First class MEng in Computer Science & Cybernetics. You can find out more about that here.

Those that know me well know of my fondness for all things Apple - be it my Apple iPod, iBook, PowerMac or Mac OS X Tiger. Whilst traditionally a technical person (with many years experience of Windows), I fully appreciate the elegance and usability of the Mac, and I always prefer to be alternative!

In terms of wheels, I’ve always had a strong interest in cars, and my first car was a 1989 0.9l Fiat Uno. Last December I swapped this for my current car, a black Toyota Yaris T-Sport, imported all the way from the foreign lands of the Lake District!

You may remember this site when it used to be Foyle Systems, and had a crazy amount of randomness going on. Well, this site is the next evolution of that randomness - though somewhat refined! However, as the ball gets rolling, this site will grow in a much more organised chaos, and elements such as my blog will return!
